Be aware that by applying the aforementioned Wifi fix you can get your iphone stuck in the boot loop, as documented here:

I did and it was a pain to get things working again. I suspect that the main reason for getting stuck in the boot loop was having a password on the phone. I was able to restore the phone using SHSH from Cydia and 3.1.2 firmware using a similar approach to this guide:

Afterwards I removed the password, jailbroke and unlocked the iphone, applied the wifi fix and all is well. This is all on iPhone 3GS with 3.1.2.

So here is my advice and a list to follow. Make sure that prior to hitting "Reset all network settings" you:

1. Do a fresh sync with iTunes
2. Backup your SHSH to cydia, can't stress how important this is.
3. REMOVE PASSWORD LOCK ON YOUR IPHONE -> VERY IMPORTANT!!!

In this step Cydia cannot find source:

Type in http://cydia.iphoneil.net and then tap â€œAdd Sourceâ€œ.

Instead of searching at the source of: http://cydia.iphoneil.net , you need to add the source: http://www.sinfuliphome.net, that site still have the push fix copy.

I just followed all the steps in the “fix my everything”. I got to step 8 and i cannot find step 8 “pushfix in search” please help me out

For whatever reason Push Fix is no longer available at both Rock and Cydia. It is still available at a different source under sinfuliphone.com
