I can't update the firmware from iTunes.. I unzipped the files.. click shift + update and the folder shows no recognizable file.. please held

hi iPhone fan. I’m thinking of upgrading but I am afraid of locking or bricking my phone. What are the success rates of this upgrade? I just cannot afford a paper weight but I am tempted with the upgrade!

I have another problem (new)..after i upgraded and unlocked my 1st gen to 2.0.1, everything works except Wifi….i came to know that many of them had this..Can u please post me a solution for this cos i use internet a lot from my iPhone…I wonder how u got a hotspot detected (Niah) after u unlocked .

I followed the video as u guided and now i have an unlocked first gen with 2.0.1 firmware

Hi – followed all this for my partners 1st gen ipone – followed the merry go round and eventually found the following worked BL-39.BIN BL-46.BIN itunes setup 7.6 quickpwn-225-2 – also get the iphone firmware for 2.2.1 -make sure you completely wipe any itunes quicktime ipod software from your PC before you start Quickpwn is a great tool – gives you exact timing on holding down he keys on the iphone and went beautifully first time – yay!! don”t bother with the complicated winpwn product – dodgyware and poorly thought out…
