iPhone Now Works With Bluetooth Keyboards

Share:

If you’ve been looking for reasons to jailbreak your iPhone, you can add this to your list.

If your iPhone is (or will be) jailbroken, you can now use a Bluetooth keyboard with the iPhone! The hack is enabled via a Bluetooth Keyboard driver that is available from Cydia.

The full version is not yet available, but a demo is available now on Cydia from the Big Boss repo. Search for “Keyboard Driver Demo” within Cydia.

Using the app is similar to how users set up a Bluetooth headset:

1.) Start the Keyboard demo
2.) Make the Bluetooth keyboard discoverable
3.) Select the Bluetooth keyboard from the device list
4.) Confirm the PIN code

The app currently supports all models of the iPod Touch, the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS.

If you don’t really like text input directly on the iPhone screen, the Bluetooth Keyboard app is a great alternative.

    Gotta love jailbreaking!!!! 🙂
With all these extra goodies that come with JB, its the only reason why I still have my iPhone.

  • If this is Keyboard Driver, it has been removed by Cydia due to some bugs..

This is a cool hack, but I don't think I'll be carrying a keyboard around for this. Especially since I have a MacBook that I take everywhere. Besides, the fact that I'ce really gotten used the iPhone keyboard.

I don't see myself carrying around a bluetooth keyboard either lol Nice extra feature to have though! Plus I dont think I use my iPhone keyboard enough to need a BT keyboard.
