eleMount – The Universal Car & Camera Mount For Mobile Devices [Kickstarter]

A new Kickstarter project by the name of eleMount ($59) is a premium, CNC machined aluminum mount for iOS and Android devices, that is compatible with virtually all smartphones and tablets available today and easily mounts these devices to desks, cars, tripods and other flat surfaces.

Developed by ele, the eleMount is a user friendly universal mount that works just as you’d expect. You don’t need suction cups, locks or even an instruction manual. In fact, you only need one hand to mount your device. Carved from the finest solid aluminum, the eleMount provides the easiest mounting system on your car, desk, nightstand and anywhere else with the help of ‘elePads’ for a solid and secure hold. Unscrewing the base of the mount reveals a 1/4″ 20 thread that can be mounted to a tripod for professional photography.

“eleMount is possibly the easiest mount to use. Simply mount the elePad portion of the mount to any clean, dry surface, apply pressure and you’re done. If you’re using mount with your smartphone camera, just attach your device to the elePads and screw the 1/4” 20 thread into your tripod. No locks, clamps, or suction cups – none needed. Forget an instruction manual, eleMount works just as you’d expect it to.

elePads are strong so there’s no need for unsightly plastic locks or clamps. These polyurethane pads stick a vast amount of surfaces including Apple and Android devices to make them incredibly versatile and future proof. elePads may look innocent, but they’re packed with technology to deliver a secure and reliable hold that lasts.”

A smaller version called the eleMount mini ($49) is specifically designed for the smartphone and tablet photographer and videographer. Its universal design allows it to be used with virtually any smartphone, a small tablet and even with majority of protective cases.
