iFixit has completed a teardown of the second generation Nest learning thermostat. If you own one of these smart thermostats then take a look below at what it looks like when torn apart to bits.
Inside, there is a Texas Instruments ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512MB of mobile DRAM and 2GB of NAND flash memory, along with the same Wi-Fi chip found in the Amazon Kindle Fire. iFixit was happy to say the battery inside is “easily replaceable” and gave a final repair score of 9 out of 10 (10 is the easiest to repair).
