Review: Incipio iPhone 4 Feather Case

Being the owner of the iPhone 4 I’m left with a dilemma. Should I use a case? I have owned all 4  generations of the iPhone, and I have had about 4 or 5 cases for each phone. I would love to use my phone “naked” as I love the look of Apples flagship device, but we all know the dangers associated with that.

Speaking of dangers, the problem with the iPhone 4 is also its best feature, the glass on the front and back. It looks amazingly sexy, but it is also prone to damage if you don’t baby it.

You could instead use a clear case. There are many to choose from, but most of them look a bit tacky. Another problem with the clear cases is the fact that you can see all the dirt and grime that gets stuck under the case. An alternative would be to use the invisibleSHIELD which Gary as well as myself use.

That is all well and good, but what about those that don’t like the feel of ZAGG’s product? Well I have found a great case that keeps most of the sexy look of the iPhone, but also adds the protection from bumps and constant sliding around on my desk. The Incipio iPhone 4 Feather Case.

This case looks great and is very strong. It comes in tons of different colours for
everyones sense of style. A nice feature is that it does not stick to the inside of your jeans pocket like gel skins usually do. Additionally, the case will not impede you from sitting the phone on its side for movie watching.

All in all, it is a great case that is the best of the few that I have used. Has anyone else used this case? What’s your take on it?

OtterBox Defender. To hell with form.

  • Jordan

Well, Ryan, you have a great point. The Otterbox case is a very good choice if you are hard on your iPhone. I my self prefer form over function.

  • The OtterBox cases protect your iPhone like a tank.

I’m living on the wild side, no case for me. I like the look of the phone too much to hide it under a case

Always with the invisibleSHIELD plugs eh? lol. invisibleSHIELD is a disgrace to such a beautiful phone. There is a TON of terrible reviews for this overpriced piece of saran-wrap. Thank you for reading my opinion.

Thats my favourite case since iPhone 3G. I had it now for my iPhone 4. Its the best. Its nearly invisible (so small). Its strong. Its a beauty. And the more important : the fit is perfect. No squeak like the ivyskin reception case.

Great case with only one improvement needed. The case should extend slightly higher to provide a lip protecting the screen side when the phone is placed screen side down.

  • Jordan

I agree with this actually. After reading your comment i went and looked at the case again, I like how the case feels now, but having that lip might make it a little safer if you place it screen down. I have the incase snap case, it has the lip. Now it took me a while to get used to the lip, but i like it now.

Piel Frama black classic magnetic case. I’ve had this model for 2 different iPhones now. Twice as much as other premium cases, but so worth it. I’ll never go back!!

it’s my favoriate one for form factor.. but the grippy material on it peels off after 1 week. I was disappointed in it. If you want something that will last a long time and won’t peel, then my wife’s iFrogz’s thing has been lasting sooo long.

gelaskins are a great alternative to the invishield

  • mark

Gelaskins are a great alternative to the invisishield. you can go plain and invisible or print whatever you want on it. The printed surface has a subtle reptillian texture like a snakes skin.

Had one for a couple weeks before the coating started to wear at the corners under gentle use. Looking forward to incase producing an iPhone 4 version of their perforated case.

I love the case because it doesn’t add any bulkiness to the iPhone. Nothing more I hate is carrying an extra layer of thickness on top of what the phone already is.
