Apple Releases Official iTunes Movie Trailers App, US Only

Along with the release of Find my Friends and the Airport Utility app today, Apple also introduced the iTunes Movie Trailers app–for US iTunes accounts only (what’s new, Canada?).

For movie buffs, this app puts the latest Hollywood trailers right on your iPhone, information about release dates, theatre showtimes, wallpapers, and more. Here’s the iTunes description:

Product Features:
• Access hundreds of movie trailers, clips, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and images, available in HD or SD.
• Explore an interactive, year-long release calendar that helps you plan when you’ll be going to the theaters.
• Save favorite movies and theaters for immediate access anytime.
• Search what’s playing at your local theaters and purchase tickets directly from your iPad or iPhone.
• Save images to your iPad photo gallery, to use as iPad or desktop wallpapers or send to your friends.
• Browse top charts to view the most downloaded trailers, box office rankings, and top movies on iTunes to buy or rent.
• Enjoy your favorite movie trailers on your TV with AirPlay and Apple TV.
• Email or tweet trailer recommendations to your friends.
• Use iCloud to push your favorite theaters and movie trailers to all of your iOS devices.

For those with US iTunes accounts, you know what to do already (click here on creating a US iTunes account in Canada). As for the rest us, unfortunately this app is not available in Canada. It looks pretty slick though. Click here to download it.

It’s just movie trailers! I’m sure we will get this app soon

Meh who cares about this app, the Cineplex scene app does the exact same thing, not to mention I can collect scene points with it when the movie clerk scans it in. What makes this app so special??

  • …it’s from…APPLE! 😉

  • Sadly, this isn’t available in the UK  iTunes store.

If it’s US only, why on god’s earth are you reporting it on “iPhone in CANADA”?

  • It is available in Canada–with a US iTunes Account. It’s an app released by Apple, which means people should know about it even IF IT’S NOT AVAILABLE.
