CAA Roadside Assistance Coming to Apple Watch This Month [VIDEO]

The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) announced late last month they will soon launch Apple Watch support to their Service Tracker app, which allows members to quickly see when service vehicles will arrive.

Apple Watch support will launch for Service Tracker in Ontario this month, while other Canadian provinces and the US will get it later this year.

Jeff Walker, CAA chief strategy officer, said in a statement “Our Service Tracker function on Apple Watch is the state-of-the-art version of roadside assistance,” following up to say “With the new Apple Watch functionality, members get the peace of mind they’ve always had with CAA, plus they get the latest technology, making their experience even more seamless.”

CAA says this is the first time a roadside assistance app has been launched to support Apple Watch.

Apple Watch functions of the app will allow members to “track the status of the call, be notified of any changes to their call status, check the ETA and, where available, see the location of the dispatched truck in relation to their vehicle through a map display.”
