Finding new music you want to listen to can be a time consuming process. However, using Discovr you can find artists similar to the ones you already love with one tap.

Follow your favourite artists and find more to follow using Music Maps

Discovr is more than just a music discovery app. Once you make an account, you can follow all your favourite artists and any person also using Discovr. When following an artist you’ll see all their latest news, music and videos on your home tab and you can like, share and comment on these posts.

To find new artists to follow, you can search for a particular one by name or use Music Maps. These maps are centred by an artist you’re following or have searched for and you expand the map by tapping on any artist shown. You can see an artist’s bio, listen to (or just preview via iTunes if you haven’t connected to a music streaming app) their music and watch their videos by double tapping on any of the artists shown on a Music Map.

I first started to like Discovr when I saw that after I made an account I was immediately also following each artist from my music library. I was delighted to see I didn’t have to go through the time consuming process of searching for and tapping to follow each one. Additionally, I liked the Music Maps. They ‘re an elegant way to show which artists are similar to ones I like and when I wanted to learn more about an artist their bios were usually pretty good and previewing their songs was just as easy as using iTunes.
