Foodora for iOS Brings Bike Courier Food Delivery to Toronto, Montreal

Foodora has launched an updated iOS app to now support bike courier food delivery to Toronto and Montreal. The app was previously known as Hurrier, until it was acquired by Germany’s foodora last summer.

Foodora

What the app and service offers is bike courier delivery of meals in “approximately” 35 minutes or less, and comes with a simple flat delivery fee of $3.50. Orders can be placed from the iOS app or via the web.

For customers in Toronto, meals can be ordered from over 300 local restaurants and paid for right within the iOS app, while text alerts provide real-time tracking of your order.

Worldwide, Foodora has 450 employees and a team of 4,000 riders, with its entry into Canada through the acquisition of Hurrier. The company is backed by parent Delivery Hero.

For those in Montreal, Foodora looks like a welcome addition, since UberEATS only services Toronto, at the present moment.
