iParks Explorer: Metro Vancouver Parks iPhone App

We’ve been blessed with some extra days of sunshine in the Metro Vancouver area over the past few days. If you want to do some exploring of local parks there’s a new iPhone/iPad out from Metro Vancouver. It’s called iParks Explorer and it will help you navigate the 22 regional parks around the Lower Mainland.

Here’s the app description:

Regional parks go mobile! Metro Vancouver has some of the finest regional
parks and greenspace found anywhere. Now, information on Metro Vancouver’s
22 regional parks is available on a free app for both iPhone and iPad.
iParks Explorer gives you:
. Mobile access to Information on services and facilities found in 22
regional parks in and around Metro Vancouver;
. Ability to find regional park locations, along with driving or walking
directions and local transit information;
. maps for each park showing trails and other facilities;
. a calendar showing programs and events in regional parks;
. a ‘favourites’ list — quick mobile access to information on your
favourite regional park!

It’s always nice to see local organizations adopting iOS apps to help further market parks and attract more visitors. I’ll definitely be checking this app out.
