Apple Debuts ‘Made in Calgary’ Section in the App Store for Canada 150

As part of the App Store’s ongoing ‘made in’ series featuring developers from coast-to-coast, the highlighted section has now reached ‘Made in Calgary’. As Apple states it:

A city where cowboy boots are as common as business suits, Calgary’s pioneer spirit has given innovative app creators fertile ground to thrive in. Craves lets us emulate the styles of our favourite celebs, while Fit + Thick has us looking—and feeling—fantastic. And just as Hockey Canada Network spreads the love of the game across the country, these amazing apps come from all corners of the prairie provinces.

The app sections are beyond just Calgary, as there’s also a section called More from the Prairies.

Apps featured include Spy vs Spy, Spot Canada, Gummy Class, Farmers250 and Mactracker.

The App Store first featured Made in Vancouver in March, followed by other locales such as Made in Toronto-Waterloo, Made in Montreal, Canada’s Best game makers: DrinkBox, and Canada’s best game makers: Noodlecake.

With Canada’s 150th birthday taking place on July 1st, we could see a couple more Canada 150 sections leading up to the big day.
