After a limited-time puzzle games sale, the App Store editors’ focus turned to productivity apps. Apparently, July — when Apple celebrated the sixth anniversary of its App Store — was the month of amazing games. August turns out to be the month of amazing productivity apps.
Apple has launched a new featured section that includes productivity apps such as Clear or iTranslate on sale for a limited time.
The effort of highlighting productivity apps adds to Apple’s efforts to help iOS users find relevant apps as the number of applications available in the store is growing each day. Apple is trying to solve the app discoverability issue by highlighting the Best New Apps, Best New Games, Best New Game Updates, and featured sections like the massive productivity app sale of the “Best of July.”
