Intuit Launches ‘QuickBooks Self-Employed’ for iPhone: GPS Mileage Tracker and Invoicing

Intuit Canada has launched QuickBooks Self-Employed for iPhone, a new app targeting self-employed Canadians. According to their research study, 45 per cent of Canada’s workforce by 2020 is expected to consist of full and part time freelancers, independent contractors and on-demand workers.

QuickBooks Self-Employed looks to make keeping track of finances and mileage easier. The app is an expense tracker, while also offers invoice creation to send to clients, plus a mileage tracker which uses your iPhone’s GPS to automatically determine your mileage for expense purposes. Utilizing your camera, users can snap pictures of receipts to store with transactions. The app also has a tax deduction calculator to help with annual taxes.
