Runner for iPhone Launches Alcohol Delivery in Toronto, in 2 Hours or Less

Runner has launched an iPhone app, along with a web app for Android and desktop users, which will bring alcohol delivery to customers in Toronto, promised in 2 hours or less.

The service only takes orders online and photo ID is required before a delivery can be completed. Users of the iOS app will have the option to place orders for future delivery times, which comes in handy if people aren’t home in time or are hosting an event.

“Runner was specifically designed with the end consumer in mind and with a core focus to making it convenient to get alcohol to your door with no minimums, no phone call required and no wait time,” said Jake MacDougall, Co- Founder of Runner, in a press release. “We also take pride in our ability to deliver the largest selection of alcohol products in Toronto, so you are never sacrificing options for convenience.”

There are no minimums for each order, with delivery fees under $10 per order. The delivery area by Runner has also expanded today, reaching “any residence or hotel south of Highway 401, to the lake, East of Keele St. and West of Woodbine.”

AGCO regulations prohibit Runner from delivery to businesses, as right now only home delivery is available, but that could change in the future, states the company.

To promote the service, a $10 off coupon code is available for orders placed in the Runner iPhone app—just use code BLASTOFF at checkout (valid August 15-26, 2017). The app has an option to save your credit card details for future orders, while offering tracking of orders and complete order history.

Runner says they have the largest online selection of alcohol in Toronto, saying “Try us on for size Toronto. We promise to not disappoint.”
