Ottawa-based Shopify has launched a new iPhone app for sellers, to enable them to easily manage their online stores on the go.
The new app, called Shopify Ping, is described as “the all-new way to work”, allowing sellers to “run your business on the go by bringing customer conversations, marketing workflows, and more together in a single mobile app.”
Ping connects to messaging apps a seller already uses, to allow for easy answering of questions in a single app. Currently, Facebook Messenger, Rep.ai and Chatkit are supported at launch.
The app also allows sellers to utilize Kit, Shopify’s built-in virtual employee, to help you run Facebook and Instagram ads, email marketing and also retargeting campaigns for you. Kit can also touch-up photos and also find new products for your store.
At launch, Shopify Ping is only available on iOS, but an Android launch is coming soon. Shopify currently powers over 600,000 businesses in approximately 175 countries.
