Task Ave, Location-Aware Task Management For iPhone

Task Ave is a location-aware task management app that helps users remember what they need to do and where they need to do it. The app makes it easy to manage tasks and their respective locations through local alerts.

The app is fairly simple to use. Users just input a task (purchase milk next week) and then choose a location that you would like to complete your task at (7-Eleven). With the task locked in, you go about your daily business and when you are near the location that you wanted to complete your task, the app sends an alert to remind you.

The app features local push notifications for the inputted tasks, so even if you are not in the app, notifications will still be pushed to your home screen. Users can further add, edit and delete tasks on a map view or in a convenient list view.

When searching for places to complete your tasks, users can find locations with a search of nearby places or add their own custom place. Users can then modify the reminder proximity from 500m to 13km. So for example, if I set my proximity to 1km and I get within 1km of 7-Eleven, the alert is pushed to my device. Task reminders may also be disabled for specific locations and completed tasks may be removed at an adjustable interval.

Overall, not bad. While users can always just type up their tasks in the iPhone Note.app, Task Ave adds a unique layer by pushing the tasks to your device. In other words, you can truly set a task and forget it.

Task Ave is available in the App Store for $2.99.
