The Walking Dead iOS App Is Now Available For Download

Telltale Games has just launched their Walking Dead series game in the App Store. Originally a hit comic book series, Walking Dead has moved onto a television series, Mac and PC Steam game, and finally our iOS devices. The game comes with a price tag of $4.99 and compatibility with the iPad 2, new iPad, iPhone 4 and 4S.

In the first episode of the Walking Dead series you will be playing Lee Everett, a character who murdered the senator and is on his way to prison. But as zombies invade earth Everett is freed – where he later meets and protects an orphaned girl named Clementine.

This is episode one of the five episode series. The remaining four episodes will be released periodically as in-app purchases priced at $4.99 a piece, or $14.99 for a season pass. The episodes are labeled as follows:

Episode 1: A New Day

Episode 2: Starved For Help

Episode 3: Long Road Ahead

Episode 4: Around Every Corner

Episode 5: No Time Left

“A New Day,” the very first episode of the series accounts for nearly three hours of gameplay. I’ve had the chance to play about an hour’s worth thus far, and I am amazed by the graphics on my iPad’s Retina display. I’m more of the shoot-me-up type of gamer, but I enjoyed Walking Dead every bit.
