Toronto startup uCiC (you see I see) won the top prize at the Mobile Apps Showdown at CES 2015, claiming the Online Winner and Live Winner prizes. Here’s what the judges had to say about this location-based app:
The uCiC app lets you reach out to others, based on their location, and get photos back from them, showing what’s going on there, right now. Or someone might ping you, asking for a photo of something you’re near. From the streets of Pakistan to the picnic in Central Park, uCIC uses images to keep you in the know.

This marks the second year in a row a Canadian company has taken the top Mobile Apps Showdown prize at CES. Last year, Montreal’s PasswordBox took home the crown, which also helped vault the app’s publicity, eventually being bought out by Intel last month.
