For those who use Yellow Pages Canada, the iOS app was update yesterday to add a new messaging tab, which lets you chat directly with businesses.
The feature is supposed to let customers seek more information from a business, such as asking for a quote from a plumber, as seen in the screenshot below:
Yellow Pages Canada says the messaging tab will “suggest favourited and recently visited businesses”. Of course, the feature will only be enabled for businesses part of the Yellow Pages Canada directory and who have opted into the messaging option. Our quick search query did not find many businesses we could chat with in our area, so your mileage may vary.
The iOS update also adds “more useful content” for your search queries, as merchant images now show up in search results.
