Next Generation Apple TV Could Land as Early as April

Apple TV

The rumour mill has started to spill information about the next-generation Apple TV lately. This time, Bloomberg has heard that Apple could release the next-gen set-top box as early as April, and that the company is negotiating with new partners to add content.

What’s interesting in the report is that Apple may announce the update in April, but the device launch could potentially be delayed until the holiday season.

As a follow-up to its report from mid-last year, Bloomberg says Apple is in talks with Time Warner Cable and other potential partners to add video content. An April announcement of the update could only make sense in light of lengthy negotiations with content partners.

On top of the potential content update, the set-top box is said to sport an upgraded processor and interface.
