This morning Apple released a series of updates to their Macintosh line of computers. The MacBook, iMac, and Mac Mini all received refreshes heading into the holiday shopping season and are available now at Apple Retail Stores and the Apple Online Store.

The product line and updates are listed below:

New MacBook (white)

The MacBook (white) has received a case overall with a thinner form factor, same plastic body but with cleaner beveled edges and a multi-touch track-pad. There has also been speed and memory upgrades.

MacBook (white) comes in one configuration (and loses Mini-DVI but gains Mini DisplayPort but loses FireWire, IR port, battery indicator, Audio Out port but now has a single Audio In/Out port):

• 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
• 2GB Memory (4GB max)
• 250GB HDD
• 8x SuperDrive
• NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
• $1,099 ($50 less than previous generation)

The configuration can be further upgraded by custom order.

New 21.5-inch iMac

Previous 20-inch iMac has been dropped and has been replaced with a new 21.5-inch display.

21.5-inch display comes with standard wireless keyboard/mouse and in two configurations:

• 1920 x 1080 LED Display
• 4GB Memory (8GB max)
• 500GB HDD
• 8x SuperDrive
• NVIDIA GeForce 9400M

New 27-inch iMac

24-inch iMac has been dropped and has been replaced with a new 27-inch display.
