If you have an existing Rogers account under a contract (lets call it “A”), and you make ANOTHER account under a contract (lets call it “B”) then you try to transfer “B” over “A”…that is another way of saying “cancellation”. Transferring “B” onto “A” or “A” onto “B” cancels one of the contracts and you pay the cancellation fee.

Now, you can make another contract, get the iPhone at promo pricing and then transfer that new account to someone else, but then that other person would be without a phone unless you bought them one, so there is no benefit at all for someone to take over the account.

Just understand that if you do a new contract to get the iphone at promo pricing, you will effectively have TWO contracts…not the greatest idea.
