Bell, Virgin Mobile iPhone 6 Pre-Orders Live, Experiencing “Strong Demand”

Bell and Virgin Mobile iPhone 6 pre-orders went live this morning and if you got in early, it was a relatively easy process.

Bell’s website says they are experiencing “strong demand” and cannot guarantee launch date deliveries:

We are experiencing very strong demand and cannot guarantee your delivery for September 19th. We expect to receive weekly shipments from Apple. Please note, it could take up to four weeks for delivery. We will advise you as soon as your phone arrives.

Prices leaked yesterday for Bell, but here they are officially:

Virgin Mobile also has their prices up, which are the same as Bell (no surprise here) but four cents more:

How was your Bell or Virgin Mobile iPhone 6 pre-order this morning? Other carriers from the Big 3 also had their pre-orders go live in the early morning, with Rogers/Fido experiencing difficulties with their systems (again) due to heavy demand.

    Tried Bell for a couple of hours and gave up. Will try my luck next Friday on launch day. Not at all happy about the $80 minimum plan requirement. I guess we can thank Stephen Harper and the CRTC for that. This, no doubt, is the result of doing away with the 3 year contracts.

    Ended up going in to my local Bell store when it first opened this morning. I was under the impression that online pre-orders and in-store pre-orders would be handled separately. But now I have no idea – looks like I might be waiting several extra weeks for my iPhone. I have my fingers crossed that it arrives on launch day.

    I believe they are being treated seperatly. Online you can only order it for delivery. If you want to pick it up you must go in-store to reserve. Mine is being shipped so im not sure when I should be expecting to receive it…..

    I believe we should see it move on Monday or Tuesday since it said 1-2 business days. Do you know if their pre orders are first come first serve?

    Wireless wave in Richmond BC opened their retail store at 9 am for pre orders before the mall opened. Getting two IPhone 6 64 GB space grey on Bell on Friday morning.Rep says every year they open at the same time as the apple store and they are empty because no one knows that they have IPhones on launch day or available for pre order. Try them.

    As of this morning, not yet. I contacted Bell Support about it and they said to allow up to two business days, and from what I read on their twitter feed, I’m not the only one who’s status hasn’t been updated

    It’s really frustrating. Hopefully a couple hours. But someone commented here on another article mentioning his order is ” in queue”. Maybe the ones like us who still says ” order processing” might receive the phone this Friday?

    I’ve heard conflicting reports about that. On one hand, the Bell website states it won’t be shipped out until launch day, but the rep I spoke to on the phone yesterday said it could show up as early as Thursday. I took that with a grain of salt however.

    If I don’t see any updates my midday today, I’m going to contact Bell again

    I was told by a Bell rep today to “wait the full 2 business days” after ordering to expect any updates, and to check back tomorrow.

    I’m not really expecting to receive mine on Friday, but at least I know it’ll be coming eventually

    I just spoke with a rep and she said it will ship Friday and will need 3-5 business days to arrive. At least we will still get in sooner than others.

    My card was charged on Monday but other than that, no status change. It’s been more than 3 business days now so let’s hope we see SOMETHING today.

    Doesn’t look like it. I keep getting the same answer “We’ve experienced strong demand, hopefully our website will be updated soon, check back tomorrow”

    Just finished a nice DM chat with @Bell_Support. They confirmed that my order was place and that the lack of updates is due to Bell waiting on their stock from Apple. Once they receive it, they’re hoping to update everyone’s orders quickly. Sounds like Bell isn’t shipping stuff straight from Apple to customers, but is handling the distribution themselves.

    No idea what that means for ETA. For people in major shipping areas, it probably comes down to how fast you got your order in (the rep said I “was on the ball” for getting mine in at 7:37AM). If you got your in early, my guess is that we may not get them on Friday but it shouldn’t be long after that. When I asked them when they expected the warehouse would get them, they said they “hoped by the 19th.”

    Awesome, thanks for the update. I placed my order at the same time as well.

    At least we know for certain we have phones coming our way. I’d rather pre-order and know it’s coming, than to have to find places that have it in stock.

    I ordered mine 7:11AM EST. You’re right. At least we don’t have to wait in lines and not get a phone. Waiting till next week won’t be a problem.

    I placed my order at 7:31AM EST !! I hate being patient! Realistically we shouldn’t be getting them before next week, but i’m keeping my fingers crossed for friday !!

    People who ordered from the Apple Store received a shipping notification already. No word from Bell yet.

    Anyone know where the starting location for the Canadian preorder is? If they’re coming from somewhere local, it’s possible Bell has the phones now. If they’re coming direct from the US or China, then I doubt Bell will get them before tomorrow.

    I think it’s safe to say that unless we see something in the next few hours, we’re not getting phones tomorrow.

    Agree!! If so, i’d be really surprised and confused as to why they would be able to get them shipped to their stores and not to their clients

    My only guess is that for people upgrading, they want to include things like a Nano SIM card (I’m moving up from a 4S and so I need a new card to use my 6). But US carrier preorder ship right to customers from Apple so I’m sure there’s a way around that.

    Just got a text message thanking me for the pre-order with a link to the iPhones status page. Entering my phone number or order number still doesn’t return anything.

    I DMed the Bell Support on Twitter and they said it will need 1-2 weeks for shipping as Apple just told them that information.

    It’s unbelievable! What was the point of pre ordering then? Some online agents say it will ship tomorrow and that I will receive a shipment notification tomorrow morning. Everyone is saying something

    I think the 2 week thing is a “cover your butt” comment. I think people like us that got our orders in fast will get them shipped tomorrow and we’ll see them Monday-Tuesday.

    I DMed Bell support and they told me that i probably wouldn’t get it before another 6 to 8 weeks!! I thought that was outrageous so I called bell and the nice lady on the phone tried to find my tracking number and she was unsuccessful. She then verified with my order time and all and told me that I would the latest get it next Friday… If I didn’t she advised me to call back! She said that they start processing orders tomorrow and giving out tracking numbers tomorrow! She told me that they ship them out of Toronto and that it takes 3-5 business days to ship!

    Yeah, my order is now in queue. I don’t expect to get it as soon as everyone else since I ordered on Sunday but I think it will come in the first two weeks. The 6-8 week line they are giving people is what they’ve been told to say. The Bell website has updated to 6-8 weeks for orders made today. I ordered one off Apple’s site (off contract) on Thursday and it is giving me a date of October 22-27. I expect that to move up though. This is for a 6 Plus BTW. They are apparently in shorter supply.

    Same for me. I think they put something in there just so people saw something come up when they searched. My actual order on my account stills says that the order is being processed.

    Reading about this on Twitter and it sounds like Bell has’t even received phones for in store orders yet. One person mentioned having to go down at 6pm tonight.
