Fido’s Data Network Experiencing Downtime in Western Canada [Update]

We’ve heard from all of you that Fido has been experiencing some network issues with its data network in various cities out west like Calgary and Vancouver. Fido has acknowledged the issue and noted on Twitter they are working on getting data service back up and running (via @DesireeSy):

Update: This network outage has also affected Rogers users as well.

affected customers should somehow be compensated for the hassle they endure. they shouldn’t even have to ask for it.

once i got stuck in our office elevator for 20 minutes. got $75 gc. not bad. now that’s good customer service.
