Fido Lowers BYOD 5GB Plan to $60, Matching Koodo in Quebec

Last week Koodo launched a couple “limited time offers” in Quebec, lowering BYOD plans for 2GB and 5GB nationwide calling plans to $50 and $60 respectively.

Now, (as expected) Fido has done the same to match Koodo in Quebec, also lowering their prices for these exact same plans.

Previously, the 5GB plan was priced at $65 and the 2GB at $53, so you’re saving $5 and $3 per month, which is still savings. So if you were on these old price points, it’s time to call in and get a price adjustment. As of writing, Virgin hasn’t changed anything yet…

Why no one has filed a class action lawsuit on these discriminatory business practices is beyond me. You know if the shoe was on the other foot we’d be hearing howls of discrimination from a certain province/s.

No freaking kidding. Has the big 3 ever commented on why/how they can justify these prices differences? I wonder what would happen if you demanded a price match to a Rogers Rep, lol

You’d be told you don’t live in the right province. End of story but it shouldn’t be allowed & I don’t know why the government or CRTC haven’t looked into it.

And a big F. U. To every other Canadian who doesn’t live in Quebec!

Actually I’d rather pay MORE than live in Kaybec. But trust me if this were the reverse you’d be the first to ????????????

  • Does Quebec have more competition there? If not why are they getting such great deals while the rest of us get insane pricing hikes?

  • 1His_Nibs1

Yeah they have Videotron & the Pig3 have to match their pricing to compete.

  • Goran Mihajlovi?

Unless you’re I MB/SK, at which point the same plan will cost you 48 with Koodo.
