Fido Promo: Double the Data on 500MB and 1GB Plans

Fido has launched a promo for new activations or upgrades, where on 500MB and 1GB plans, you can get double the data, on Canada-wide plans.

So for example, right now in BC/AB/ON, there’s $40/500MB, $40/1GB (new activations only) and $50/1GB “limited time offer” plans.

With this promo, you’ll get double the data, so that will work out to $40/1GB, $40/2GB or $50/2GB.

Here’s what the fine print says:

Offer ends June 6, 2016 and subject to change without notice. Not available with Fido Pulse Max plans. Only available with 500 MB and 1GB plans, excluding $47/500 MB Fido Pulse Smart plan in Quebec. Not available in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

The promo ends on Monday, June 6, 2016. Let us know if you’re going to jump on this.

Gary. It’s a sad state of affairs when 8 years ago you were making these kinda announcements.

I’m glad the site is still going strong. But if you had told me back then that almost 10 years in the future we’d still be getting headlines with “MB” in the title, I would have thought you were crazy and that Donald Tump was president of the United States!

  • Lol, that was a blast from the past!

Thanks for the comment, yeah, it is sad we’re still talking about megabytes, especially now that we’re all on LTE networks.

I’ve been with Fido for more than 10 years. I’m off contract and I have four lines with Fido. I called last week to get this offer from Fido and they told me this offer was to attract new customers to Fido and that it’s not available to existing customers…the agent transferred me to retention dept who offered a more expensive plan and refused to give me this offer. Long story short, I heard about the new Canada US without borders plan from videotron and there is a special promo for BYOD that I’m considering now…that’s 4 customers less for Fido!
