Rogers Unison Launches for Small Businesses to Ditch Landlines, Go Mobile

Rogers today launched Unison for small businesses, which aims to bring forward a mobile solution instead of dedicated landlines.

The mobile solution, according to Rogers, comes with features such as:

  • Auto Attendant: fully automated answering system
  • Hunt Groups: routes incoming calls to team members
  • Dual Persona: existing landline numbers can be added to mobile devices
  • Simultaneous Ring: calls get directed to multiple devices
  • Voicemail to email: messages get sent to your email

Nitin Kawale, President, Enterprise Business Unit, Rogers Communications, said in a statement “We’re bringing a North American first to Canadian small businesses by making it possible for them to use their mobile phone to connect their entire business and team, eliminating the need for dated desk phones.”

According to the company’s internal research, for every landline a business eliminates each year, that could equate to savings of “at least $300-600 a year”, based on average monthly spends of $25-50 per landline.

Rogers says Unison is available for small businesses nationwide on existing Share Everything for business plans. Later this year, Unison will expand for larger businesses and the public sector.
