Rogers Launches The Shopping Channel on Apple TV

Rogers media property The Shopping Channel (TSC) launched an app on tvOS today, which means fourth generation Apple TV owners can now stream live and pre-recorded broadcasts on their TV. The ShopTSC app also lets customers purchase items from their TV and also browse exclusive items.

Graeme Hartlen, VP, TV and eCommerce, TSC, said in an emailed statement to iPhone in Canada “The ShopTSC app streamlines the shopping experience by allowing customers to place an order right from their TV with just a few clicks of the remote,” further adding “We are giving Canadians more choice and another point of entry to purchase their favourite brands and products with us.”

The ShopTSC app includes a full program guide, while the menu bar allows users to navigate and browse over 15,000 products. There’s also a digital shopping cart, which syncs with a customer’s TSC account, to make purchases available on Apple TV, TSC on the web, or the ShopTSC iOS app.

The neatest part is the ability to stream live TSC from Apple TV. In other news, people still make purchases from TSC while on the couch.
