Update: June Voice and Data Plans for iPhone 3G

Below you find the latest Rogers Wireless plans for iPhone 3G for June 2009. The information below will not include the specifically labeled “iPhone 3G plans” from Rogers that run $60 and $75 per month because when compared to the other plans, they do not offer a good enough value.

Please note that these plans will be reflective of Rogers Wireless and there are five sections below detailing individual regions (prices vary between regions):

1.) BC/ALBERTA REGION

2.) MIDWEST REGION

3.) ONTARIO REGION

4.) QUEBEC REGION

5.) ATLANTIC REGION

Remember, as of April 7, 2009, all new acquisitions on a 3 year contract will only receive one (1) month of unlimited local minutes (“Freedom of Speech”) as opposed to 3 months, as it was in the past. If you are getting a separate data plan or a data plan combo plan (No term or 1/2/3 year term), as of June 2, 2009 you will receive two (2) months unlimited data usage (“Data Usage Bonus”), as opposed to 3 months as it was in the past.

Also note, as of April 16, 2009, the $17.50 EPP Plan was increased in price to $20.00. All of the other advertised features within this plan are the same.

When it says, “expired across all plans” does that mean it is removed from everyone that already has it???

4.) Unlimited Network Calling (free calling to/from all Rogers, Fido, and Rogers Home Phone) expired across all plans.

No. Just current and future plans in market. What ever you have, you keep

Rogers really isn’t doing itself any favours by castrating the plans like this. Next thing you know Bell has the Pre and Belus has an HSDPA network to work with and Rogers suddenly doesn’t seem so good-looking.

These changes, slight variations ofcourse, are also happening to Bell and Telus.
They are all holding back offers to see what the new carriers will announce.

This really sucks. Regardless, all I really want is the 6GB/$30 Data Plan to return, so I can get it with my very first iPhone.

I hope the 6GB/$30 Data Plan comes back, for the summer.

Does anyone know what kinda deals you can get if you’ve been with Rogers for 3 years already. My contract is ending and I want an iPhone with a data plan but I’m not willing to cough up more than $50 per month. Just wondering if anyone’s ever gotten any good deals if you’ve been with Rogers for a while.

Rogers pulled a fast one with these plan changes especially on the day the new Android phones were released. And like the above poster said Bell will have the Pre soon and there family plans are much more appealing.
If Rogers leaves there plans the same and all we is OS3.0 I can bet a few people will choose other networks.

As someone who has been with Bell for 4 years (and Fido before that) they’ve lost two potential customers (fiance included) when the difference in price works out to $33 a month for 50 daytime minutes more on Rogers. And unlike some Bell’s customer service has been top notch for me so there’s no reason to switch when plan prices don’t even compare.

Okay, so how do we get the EPP voice plan? Do we just ask for it when we go to get our iPhone?

Same question as Joey… Rogers is saying the EPP plan doesn’t exist anymore, what’s the deal?
