TELUS Will Further Expand 4G LTE to 30 Areas in Quebec This Year

TELUS this morning announced the company will invest $265 million in Quebec for 2013, part of its ongoing three year $840 million investment first reported last June to expand services in the province.

For wireless users, this means the investment will help launch 4G LTE to an additional 30 communities this year:

Continue deploying the world’s fastest mobile technology to another 30 communities in 2013. The largest 4G LTE network in Canada is already available to more than 70 per cent of the Quebec population through its launch in the Montreal, Quebec City, Chaudière-Appalaches, Mauricie, Gatineau, Lower St. Lawrence, Gaspé, Côte-Nord, Charlevoix and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean regions.

TELUS notes its networks are accessible by 97 per cent of the population in Quebec and the company has invested $14 billion in the province since 2000.
