Public Mobile Launches 3G Speed Plans with Bonus Data, Top Plan $50/6GB

TELUS-owned Public Mobile is introducing 3G speed plans which include bonus data.

These plans included unlimited province-wide calling and unlimited global text on 90 day plans. Here’s what’s available:

  • $120 – 3GB at 3G Speed (+3GB Bonus) = $40 / 2GB / 30 days
  • $135 – 6GB at 3G Speed (+3GB Bonus) = $45 / 3GB / 30 days
  • $150 – 12GB at 3G Speed (+6GB Bonus) = $50 / 6GB / 30 days

The prices above include the $2 reward every 30 days when you register AutoPay on a 90-day plan.

The company also says it removed and grandfathered their 10-day plan, “in order to refocus our resources and stay focused on what our customers want.”

If you don’t require LTE speeds and are okay with 3G, these are ones to consider. But once you experience LTE, it’s hard to go back to 3G.

Do note these plans are identical to what’s being offered by Rogers’ Chatr Mobile. However, Chatr does not offer a referral program, or a loyalty discount that can max out to $5 off per month after year 5.

Public Mobile says this offer ends on July 24 at 11:59PM EDT. Let us know if you’re going to jump on this.

  • What you failed to mention is that they raise the prices of their LTE plans in some cases by as much as 40%.

  • aRhyno

Oh man. Like mentioned. Their prices all went up a lot. Don’t think I can even recommend them anymore. Really sad to see.

this is a disaster for PM. I just got the amazing 4gb $38. Happy if it never changes. These new prices are much worse than competition and the competition gives you more services.

  • Well… guys… remember, the unlock fees are going away within months and this is step one to recoup that lost revenue there.

  • HowardHughes2nd

Yeah I have the $38 plan which is so far the best out there in my findings for LTE data. I need more data though and the addon data is expensive for public mobile.

  • Billy

I have 4gb of data a month for 40 dollars and it’s LTE. I was gonna refer 4 people but they don’t want to anymore

  • Adam Horan

    That’s a terrible deal
