TELUS In-Store Appointments Expand Nationwide for Customers to Bypass Lines

Last month TELUS launched in-store appointments for customers to easily meet with staff for wireless activations, renewals and repairs. The service first debuted in Ontario, but as of today it has now expanded across Canada.

In a statement via email, the company announced “We’re excited to let you know that our TELUS appointment service is now available nationally at TELUS.”

The purpose of booking an appointment in advance means customers can bypass lines, while staff can get time to familiarize themselves with accounts in advance, for what the company says will lead to a “better, more productive experience.”

The initiative looks to be TELUS’ ongoing plan to focus on customer service as a way to differentiate itself from rivals, which appears to be paying off based on wireless subscriber growth compared to Rogers and Bell in the past couple of years (via The Globe and Mail):
