Telus: Cellular iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 ‘Coming Soon’ This Month [u]

TELUS has announced it will be offering cellular versions of the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 both in-store and online “this month”, which most likely translates to availability next Friday during Apple’s launch.

Last year the carrier offered cellular iPad Air sales on the same day as Apple’s launch. The company also offered a $100 trade-in credit for those bringing in old tablets, but there’s no word whether that will be available this year.

Bell yesterday confirmed it would also offer cellular iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 sales—we expect Rogers to announce the same shortly.

While US and UK cellular iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 users will get to experience Apple’s new pre-installed SIM for easy carrier switching, there’s no word yet whether Canada’s Big 3 will be included at launch as well. However, the move is most likely inevitable given the extensive LTE networks in Canada.

Update: As expected, Rogers has confirmed to us via email they will also be selling iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 later this month. It’s safe to assume any carrier which offers cellular iPads right now would most likely offer the newer iPads as well.
