If they had done this 5 weeks ago they might have kept an 11-year customer. Their loss; now Fido gives me 2GB w unlimied talk for $56. Was worth buying out the contract.
You should have gone with Koodo then… Same quality network for the cheap ppl 😉
Koodo does not offer VVM for iPhone and has confirmed it has no plans to do so. Koodo”s $56 plan (Dec pricing) did not include Call Forward. Fido outscored the competition (Koodo and Virgin) on all features.
To its credit, Telus has the most liberal and lowest-cost policy for unlocking iPhones, which I was planning to do in advance of some spring travel anyway but Telus users can avoid that if they transfer to Koodo..
For me the other win has been that the Rogers/Fido network seems to be slightly stronger in the Greater Toronto Area where I spend most of my time.
