Summary: Rogers and Telus neither use the “most reliable network” slogan.
Then, Rogers sues Bell about Bell advertising that they have the “largest, fastest, and most reliable network”. Well, in the latest law suit news, Bell has now been ordered to remove the “most reliable network” slogan.

Even with having a handful of wireless carriers in Canada that now offer the iPhone, it just seems we can’t catch a break. They’ve got us locked in and locked down. From every angle. And now we have more to add to the list. Bell is apparently swinging the iPhone hammer, and placing some restrictions on the purchases of iPhones.
Bell released a document that went into effect yesterday titled “Maximum … Read More

Rogers is pointing out that the currently operating Bell CDMA network has approximately 6.7 million customers on it, but the new HSPA+ network has “virtually no customers” … Read More

As many have read our article regarding the Tethering policies for Rogers and Fido, one of the most talked about points is that Rogers/Fido plan to offer Tethering access for free to accounts that have 1GB or higher data plans (using your data bucket) up until December 31, 2009…but what then?
Well, lets refresh our memories by reading the Rogers and Fido tethering policies:
As reported earlier this week, this morning Bell has officially dropped their $6.95 system access fee and 911 fee, whose rate varies between the Canadian provinces (Quebec will still pay the upcoming $0.40 911 fee for their province only).
As originally reported, the dropped fees came with a $5.00 (and even $10) plan increase, which is exactly the same move made by Telus earlier in November 2009. The only difference … Read More
As expected, Virgin Mobile Canada will be launching the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS in Canada in 2010. An official statement was released this morning.

These two are like brothers fighting over toys.
This morning, Telus filed legal action against Rogers for misleading advertisements claiming that Rogers is “Canada’s fastest network”. Rogers has been running these ads, along with another one whose slogan is “Canada’s fastest network: two times faster than any other” since 2007. We have seen them all over television and billboards, but now Telus says they are false!
As per an internal Bell document, Bell Canada may be dropping the dreaded system access fee effective November 20, 2009. This puts Bell in line with Telus, who just recently dropped their SAF and 911 fee but did increase price plans by $5.00 (still cheaper than with the SAF).
See the Bell announcement below:
Effective November 20th, 2009 Bell Mobility will be launching new pricing for all existing postpaid plans … Read More
