At first I thought my iPhone was acting up. But after experiencing multiple dropped calls, intermittent cutting in and out when dialling, and confirmation via twitter (people exploding over this issue), I can finally say Rogers/Fido is experiencing some major network issues!
Here is a sampling of some tweets I’ve received:

At first I thought I was losing my mind. What am I referring to? App Store updates on the iPhone of course! I’m pretty good with keeping up with app updates, as most of the time there are bug fixes and improvements. But lately, the usual reliable process of updating apps on the iPhone has been one giant FAIL!
App updates would download and install. I would watch the process … Read More
Recently Rogers and Fido both updated their various iPhone related value packs to include Name Display along side the Caller Display feature. This was primarily due to the release of iPhone OS 3.1, which, among other updates, brought with it the ability to use Name Display on the iPhone…or did it?
After various personal testing and many emails from concerned readers, I have concluded that Name Display … Read More

If you were like the 1 million+ (in 3 days!) who purchased the new iPhone 3GS, one of the biggest and noticeable upgrades you enjoyed was the increased processing speed and battery life. However, if you were like myself and millions of other 3GS users who just couldn’t justify the HUP (darn Rogers and their plans), then you probably settled with the OS 3.0 update.
I found some of the biggest … Read More
When you buy an iPhone or an iPod from Apple your new product comes with a one year warranty. However, what happens when that warranty runs out (and you didn’t opt for Apple Care)?

For the past week or so, I’ve experienced a very strange phenomenon with my iPhone 3G on Rogers. A couple nights ago I received the “new voicemail” indicator sound/buzz and it took me by surprise. Why? Well, because I didn’t hear nor receive an incoming call prior! At first I thought I was crazy. But after doing some research online and asking around on Twitter, turns out I’m not the … Read More
Yes, you read that correctly. At first what I thought was an isolated incident, it now appears that others are also experiencing the same problem. Just what am I talking about? Today we talk iPhone Firmware 2.1!
As most of you know, the 2.1 firmware came out for the iPhone 3G some time around 6:00am PST on Friday September 12, 2008. I managed to pick it up about 20 minutes later, but due to unforeseen errors during the install, it actually took me over 2 hours to install it. So, during my time installing, I decided to make a step-by-step guide … Read More
