Review: iPowerRush portable battery charger/extender

Hey all!

Today’s post will be a review of the iPowerRush, a portable battery charger/extender.

iPowerRush portable battery charger/extender

The iPowerRush is a portable battery charger or extender (it’s both really) that is designed for practically any Apple product that has the dock connector! However, in our case, we will be dealing with the iPhone end of things.

After a brief run through with the iPowerRush, I have to say I am pretty happy with it. The advertised battery life is about 10-15 hours and I received about 10 hours extra after my iPhone 3G’s battery was dead, so that is pretty good I would say. When my iPhone 3G hit the 10% battery left level, I just plugged in the iPowerRush and was ready to go. So easy!

Some of the nice features on the battery pack is that it has an on and off switch and an easy to read battery status meter which consists of three indicator lights. The other attribute I really like is that the battery pack is small, light, and extremely portable. I can definitely see how this product can have some fantastic uses when you are on the road or away from a power outlet. However, as with many things, there is one flaw; it is powered by six AAA batteries. While that can be a burden for some, it is the premise of the battery pack; be portable and not require a charging connection to a wall. It is truly a portable battery!

The iPowerRush is available for $29.95 on the company online store.

So, because this battery pack looks so neat and I am sure there is atleast someone out there that can use this, I am giving it away! This one is really easy. Post below in the comments why you need this battery pack and how you will use it. Give me some good stories! The contest will end on Friday November 14, 2008 at 11:59pm.

Enjoy!
