ZAGG invisibleSHIELD iPhone 3G Review: How to Install & CONTEST!!!

by Gary on July 26th, 2008

The invisibleSHIELD has a long standing reputation as one of the premier screenprotectors for electronics out there. When I managed to get my hands on a sample for my first gen iPhone, I wasn’t sure what to think. I had heard about them before but never really tried them out.

After seeing the positive results of the invisibleSHIELD on my first generation (read my review here), I was excited to test out the same product on my iPhone 3G. I am patiently waiting for another iPhone 3G that is in transit from Rogers due to my current iPhone’s inconsistent battery. BUT…today I managed to do a flawless install on my friend’s similar 8GB iPhone 3G!

invisibleSHIELD iPhone 3G Full Body Protector Review: What’s in the Box? What is it?

This time around ZAGG has made some minor changes to the interior of the invisibleSHIELD packaging. The squeegee is included still, along with the mild soap solution spray (which is in a new color), along with a 20% off coupon (the smart ones will click on the thumbnail, hint hint!), plus the lifetime warranty card.

For those who are not familiar with the invisibleSHIELD, you’re basically applying thin plastic sheets onto your iPhone. These unpenetrable sheets formerly were used on US military helicopter blades. That primed them for today’s gadgets, which in this case is my friend’s lucky iPhone 3G. I’m going to give you guys pointers on how to do the PERFECT install. This was my second install and I must say I’ve getting the hang of it!

How to Do the Perfect invisibleSHIELD iPhone 3G Install Job

Before you start, find yourself a good chunk of time. You don’t want to rush during this install. I’d say 1 hour would be enough for a job well done.

1. Turn off iPhone 3G. Wipe the iPhone down with a cloth to remove oil, dust, and dirt. Find a large clean surface. Lay out some paper towels.

2. Have the invisibleSHIELD front and back sheets ready to be peeled. Have the spray and squeegee ready.
3. Spray down fingers. Next, spray the front of the iPhone liberally. I’m talking soaking the front until you see large beads of water. Don’t worry, you won’t wreck the device! This is a crucial step. Look at how wet the iPhone 3G is here:

4. Slowly peel the front piece first. As you’re peeling away, spray the front piece as this will help prevent dust from clinging to the sticky side.
5. Lay down the front piece on the iPhone 3G. Since you’ve sprayed so much water, this gives you the ability to move and align the shield so that is perfect. Tear off a small corner of the paper towel and use this to squeegee out the excess water. As it squeegees out, the towel will soak up the water.
6. I like to use the rubber squeegee to take out tiny bubbles that my paper towel couldn’t do. Remember to press LIGHTLY as you don’t want to stretch the shield.

7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the back of the iPhone 3G. Use the hole for the camera to help you align the sheet, then move it accordingly to ensure you have enough froom for the sleep/wake button, silent switch, and volume rocker. Make sure the back is smooth before moving onto the corners/bezel. Once again, take a look at how wet the iPhone is:

8. CORNERS/SIDE BEZEL: This is where it can get tricky. These areas require the most time and patience for the perfect install. Press down on the corner pieces and hold for a solid minute or two with your thumb. If it’s not sticking, that means there’s too much water. Just hold down and use the heat from your fingers to “cure” the corners. Repeat for the sides of the bezel. You know you’ve done a good job when you don’t see any air bubbles and only black–like it’s INVISIBLE!

9. Stick the round “home” dot on your home button.
10. Let iPhone 3G sit for the invisibleSHIELD to cure. ZAGG recommends 24 hours. I would say give it at least 3-4 hours minimum for it to set. You don’t want to handle the iPhone at this point. Just let it be!
11. VOILA! The job is finished and your iPhone 3G is sitting pretty, ready for the elements! This was a fabulous install by yours truly. Here are the “after” shots:

Conclusion: Is the invisibleSHIELD for me? Why should I consider investing in one?

A lot of people don’t like these plastic shields on their iPhones. They find that it can reduce the sensitivity and functionality of the touchscreen. For me, I did not find any difference in the touch capabilities after installing the invisibleSHIELD. I’ve had one on my first generation for almost a year and everything works great to this very day. Some ask about how the invisibleSHIELD makes the iPhone screen look “bumpy” when viewed off on the side. It’s not that big of a deal and does not come up when you’re looking at the screen and it’s ON.

The invisibleSHIELD might be for you, or it might not. Some people like cases for their naked iPhone 3G, which is great. However, by using an invisibleSHIELD coupled with a nice case, you are taking protection to another level. You won’t have to worry about getting your precious Jesus-phone scratched. The invisibleSHIELD will allow you to sleep at night–don’t worry, your baby (aka the iPhone 3G) will be safe. Rest easy!

One of the best parts of owning an invisibleSHIELD is the 30 day moneyback guarantee and lifetime replacement warranty. Sure, order an invisibleSHIELD and try it out. Don’t like it? Quit crying and get a full refund already! You have nothing to lose but protection on your iPhone 3G. Also, on my first generation iPhone the corners started to peel after struggling to remove the phone from a tight fitting leather case. ZAGG sent me another shield as requested and I only had to pay the shipping.

Don’t take my word on the invisibleSHIELD. Some love it and some don’t, but the majority of users who have installed it properly with care are the ones who appreciate it. Take your time to install it–it’ll pay off. Check out my gallery below to make your own decision. Good luck!

It's very hard to get the bubbles out and it looks lousy if you don't.
  • Jhon
Hi, i want to get this for my ipod touch but im not sure about the spary will i t leave marks after will it get into a port hole?
  • chrisfontaine141
I should win the Invisible Shield because I have botched the installation of my first attempt :-)

I love my iPhone, and consider this an "infant seat"...you should be able to take the iPhone home from the store unless you have an Invisible Shield!!
  • Michael S.
I actually drop-kicked my iPhone a couple of weeks ago ... By mistake, of course, I had put it in my pocket, not realizing that there was a zipper that led into the pocket from below. That's where the iPhone slipped out from, and it slid down my leg as I was walking, met my left foot at just the perfect time, and flew down the driveway.

It still works no problem, but has a few scratches on the back. I'd like to prevent more scratches. Please?
  • Olga
Thanks for the instruction. I think I managed it pretty well, but I agree with what some said, that "the shell" looks kinda weird on the corners. I've gota white Iphone 3G and sincerely hope that it doesn't turn yellow!
    Well, thanks again!
  • Vien
If you have a white iphone I would suggest NOT buying the Zagg shield. It turned yellow after 3 days in the areas you hold it the most. It reminded me of a smoker's fingernail. Anyways I returned the back for a partial refund because I was happy with the front but Zagg requested the front as well and to "re-order" the front when I got my money back. It's been 4 weeks. No shield, no money and very unhappy. I ended up getting the Power Support Crystal Jacket from the apple store. It's clear and has as stand to watch movies. I'm super happy with it. I'll never order from Zagg ever again.
  • Hmm
i think Zagg is going under: going out of business. they're not answering their email and you just get voice mail when trying to call them.
  • Andy
This shield is a crap. May be is a good quality but from esthetic view is like I put a piece of plastic bag on my phone. Its very difficult to put in on phone.
  • Mee
I disagree and I am lack any dexterity. I dont know why you think what you do. Try putting on any of the other competitor's skins that dont require any liquid.
  • Josh Sandstrom
I would like one of these Zagg protectors because I am tired of using those bulky plastic cases that are sold by third party distributers. I want my iPhone to look the way it should; brand new out of the box, and I am hoping that this Zagg product will help it look that way. The bulky plastic cases make the iphone look less appealing, and they interfere with the touch screen. The Zagg protection would be perfect so that I can use all of the iPhone features without worrying about getting scratches on my iPhone. PLEASE LET ME WIN ONE OF THESE.
  • Jamal
I paid for the delivery but didn't receive it for two weeks. I complained to CS and got one in two weeks. They said it probably got lost in the mail.
I installed the back part... and yes... you have to be patient with the corners.
I paid more attention to the corners but neglected the back and left a couple of air bubbles.
My question is: Its been on the phone for 20 hrs, can I peel and re-install it? Or simply order another one?
  • John
I'm 18 and which means here in BC, I can't obtain my own credit card unless it's my parents. And.. I'm asian, which means my parents are paranoid like donkeys riding up mt. Everest. Which is why I think you should give the invisibleShield to me :D. I can't buy anything on the internet and I really need it, especially since I'm such a big clutz. Seriously, I fall walking UP the stairs; the earphones get caught in my legs when I bend down so when I snap back to my standing position, my iPhone gets dragged with me and flies onto the floor. Anyways, hope I win, but good luck to the rest of the contenders!
  • charliespuds
I ordered the invisible shield, paid extra for the first class delivery (7-10 days) and it took more than 2 weeks. When I called the rep there, I told them I shouldn't have to pay extra for speedy service when it takes longer than the stipulated time and they said they would credit me the delivery fee, but that hasn't happened. They also offered to send me another shield as it hadn't arrived by the time I called them and still, no shield has arrived.

Hmm... can't say I like the service or the length of time it takes for them to ship. If you can handle waiting for 2-4 weeks for the shield...go ahead.
  • 4walls
For those on a budget, check out this cheaper skin for the iPhone.

I bought Zagg InvisibleSheild for iPhone 3G from bestbuy (only the front portion coverage). I had lot of hopes in this product but struggled a lot to install the piece. Problem is, protector leaves some air bubbles which disturbs the screen view. I tried several times to install again following instructions available in the product and not successful.

Before I bought this, based on reviews I heard, I recommended to most of my friends. After experiencing all this, I will not recommend buying this for such a price.
  • Christopher Martin
I feel that I would really like this product. I think that it would provide the kind of protection for my 3G that im looking for and Zagg's reputation for this product speaks for itself. Im mildly concerned about the installation process, more specifically bubbling and the corners. However it appears that with some patience this can be the Ultimate iphone protection. I would really like to win this for free, but am more than willing to spend the money for it. I have had many cases and pouchs and none of them have seemed to "fit" my phone or my style.
  • Nick
Hey, thanks for the review and also for the 20% code - worked like a charm!
  • @andres & duck: sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. I just installed the invisibleSHIELD on my iPhone 3G last night and did the perfect install. I filmed it so expect it to come soon. The pieces are precision cut so you really have to be patient and try hard to make it fit!
  • Duck
I completely agree with Andres. The front was a breeze, but the back refused to line up properly, and unless you're working with a team of three heart surgeons, aligning everything before it dries and begins to stick to itself is a nightmare. I ended up throwing the back part away because it started to stick to itself and stretched when I removed it. Complete waste of money.
  • Juan Luis
I should win this invisible shiel because I order one on ebay and the seller send it to the wrong direction so I never recived the invisibleshield and now the guy dont want to send me the money back,he don't answer the message and I open a dispute on paypal but it takes time and the important part is that I dont use my iphone out of my home because I dont want to use it without the invisible shield!!..Please I need to win it!!

    Thanks!
  • Neal
Because Iam homeless and cant afford the invisibleSHIELD for my brand new iPhone 3g
  • andres catlla
i just received my invisible shield and it was a nightmare to put the back piece on. the front was absolutely no problem at all but for a good hour i could not get the corners to stick properly and get the flaps to go on properly. everytime i tried sticking the flaps the back would not stick on flat there would be a slight lift. i tried for an hour and it would not stick properly. i got fed up and got rid of the back part and kept the front part on. I am very disappointed with this product and I was considering getting one for my macbook but not anymore. I kept the front part on but the back part is extremely hard to put on, some more instruction would have been nice for the back part. I wish I never bought this and my money was wasted.
  • SunnyVan
I know only Simply Computing carry invisible shield in vancouver area, and they are out of stock. Does anyone else know any store that would sell and do installation for a fee? Installation seems very difficult. I read there are some stores in washiongton state that would install for you for like $5.

Perhaps Iphone fan should pick up this business since he does his installation so good.
  • LoWd0Wn
and the video for the winner is where....??? The link for it was this URL.?
  • Tej Dhami
I Want to it. It's so cool. I don't want my iPhone 3g scratched.
  • Kosmo
Forgot to mention: The other reasons are: I'm used to take the phone out of the carrying case and leave it on top of the desk, which in some cases is dusty enough to scratch it or put it in the cup holder in the car in order to see who's calling without having to take the phone out of the carrying case first.
  • Kosmo
I have a little kid and she will play with the iPhone (this is inevitalble, let's face it). That's why I need a serious protection for the phone, and I think the invisibleShield is really what I'm looking for.
  • Kevin
Why should I be worthy of this invisibleSHIELD?

I first tried bubble wrap around my iPhone, but it didn't work out too well. It was a little hard to use the phone... but really fun to pop all the bubbles around it! Now I'm only using a screen protector, which I totally botched the application of. A little piece of dust got under there right before I applied it, and now there's a tiny bubble. I tried to get that little dust particle out of there with the iPhone's cleaning cloth, but that only made it worse. I think it's a little crooked too.

With only the screen protector, I'm vulnerable to scratches, nicks, and anything else on the back. I constantly put my phone down on tables and such (mainly just to show off), so this could become a problem in the near future. The Apple symbol is showing some wear already too. I'd liken it to a bruised apple. Would you want to eat a bruised apple? I think not.

Oh iPhone Fan, please help me out! Rid me of my dust bubbles and protect my bruised apple!
  • TINY
I would love to have one of these shields! Why should you send it to moi? Well for one, I live in Canada, and this is all about iPhones in Canada is it not? Secondly, I had a case in my hands for my iPhone before I even had my iPhone on. Not only that, but I also had my iPhone in a case before I even turned it in and I haven't taken it out since. So, due to my extreme diligence in protecting my investment, I charge that I am overqualified to receive a free invisibleSHIELD that I may further protect new iPhone!

P.S. My iPhone (3G) is only a few days old, and I'm out of luck for ordering because I don't have a credit card. Thanks for your time!
  • Ham & Cheese
Hey there, I think I could use one of these shields. It certainly looks invisible.
  • Travis
I'm in for the InvisibleShield contest! Great work iPhone Fan!

The one on my first gen phone is great. Can't wait to get one for the 3G!
  • Carla
I have yet to put on a protective shield on my iphone.... yes I may be stupid, but as I am a programming student I am BROKE after buying the iphone!! And that's why I need it.... poor broke student..... trying to get by without a student loan... lol.
  • Jacob
I think i deserve the invisible shield because I have never owned an iPhone and I just bought one... and I am going to be getting it in about 60 hours... hopefully?!? It's gunna be white which is going to be freaking awesome, and what is a better way to show off my new iPhone 3g than with you ultra thin invisible shield!!! What caused me to want one, I searched on google for the best iPhone protector and your product showed up... nothing say the best than that?!? right?!? So hopefully I will be rocking an new iPhone 3g with your awesome product... I shall now cross my fingers...
  • Jack
I need the protection because I just got my iphone and I am afraid to go out naked!
  • Ehud
While I'm not a fan of cases, after finally purchasing my 16 gig phone and playing with it for a while, I offered it to my girlfriend to try, as she has watched me scramble since July 11th to find a phone.

    She refused.

    Why?

Because the phone at her angle looked abysmal with all the fingerprints and marks, after less than 30 minutes of use. Help me iphonefan!
  • Jamie
What's an invisible shield? :) I could use one, I guess.
  • Love My 3G
I would love to put this on my New 3G!!! Count me in!!
  • david
This shield is amazing, put one on my ipod, and that thing is practically bulletproof! Now that I am getting an Iphone, i Neeeeeed this to protect it!
So i should win, because i would use it ;p

I put up a comment on my facebook, anything that puts up my chances is a plus!
Search for Reicaden on facebook :p
  • Here is a list why I think I deserve to win this great and unbelievable product:

I was going to buy a case anyway for my iPhone 3G but I didn't want to add thickness or weight to my iPhone 3g. So I think the invisibleSHIELD is one of the most incredible things ever. I wanted to try this product for a while now, in-fact I wanted to get for my ipod touch but never got around to purchase it. So I think this is a great chance to get it now because, well........ it free. LOL

Thanks for the wonderful opportunity, BigDaddySaber

I also will post this contest on a technology blog that I write for, so I have a better chance of winning. :D

I just bought the Iphone for my wife and she loves it (secretly, I have been wanting to get one and since I am more techy then her I end up on it more then she does). An invisisible SHIELD would help to preserve the investment. The Iphone investment that is. :)
  • Benny
After running around Fido stores like a madman for the last week I finally managed to get my hands on a beautiful Iphone 3G. I would loooove to have an invisible shield protect the phone from key and coin scratches in my pocket. Please make this a beautiful start of my Iphone journey!
  • Mark Hilt
I've been a SideKick user for 2 years and this is my first iPhone. As a photographer, I enjoy it a lot! It's really useful, my schedule has never been so easy. Since I pwned my phone, I now see how powerful this device is. It's, from my opinion and I guess i'm not the only one to think that this is the best phone ever made.

But, unfortunately, last week, I dropped it on the floor (in the street). Now, it has minor scratches especially near the speakers. When I dropped it, my heart stopped beating for a couple seconds because my phone was upside down the floor, I was just hoppin that the screen wasnt broken but it was fine. I don't wanna break it, so thats why I need an InvisibleShield.

Thanks, and keep up the great work, this is the first website I visited when I started to get interested into getting a iPhone and I keep visiting every day.

    I'm feeling lucky today :)

My two dogs (Shiba Inus - too cute for words) seem to love my iPhone more than I do. I've lost track of how many times I've caught them trying to jump up on the table to sniff if, or caught it in their mouth with them trying to run away with it, or couldn't find it only to find that my puppy had brought it with her to sleep. There's been no damage so far but I don't think Steve considered the damage that could be caused from a puppy carrying it around in their mouth.

I'd be able to sleep soundly if it was 'shielded', that's why I'd like to win one :)
  • I have also posted on my blog at myke.org

I am going to buy an iphone tomorrow morning for my girlfriend- she's a chef at a restaurant, and i am an obsessed boyfriend, and i have to speak to her every 5 minutes, and she ends up "accidently" putting oil and butter and other greasy ingredients on her phone, and we have been doing this for over 6 months, a new phone every week or two. so with this invisibleSHIELD, she wont have any more excuses to get me to buy her a new phone.

    Good luck to me. Thanks!
  • Tom
I need this for my wife as she is the biggest cell phone abuser (i.e. throw phone in a full purse 'o crap and scratch it to death)!
  • Kosmo
iPhone Fan, I hope you will share with us when you replace the invisibleShield on your first gen iPhone! I know that the invisibleShield doesn't use any type of glue, but I still wonder how easy will be to replace it.

    Thanks.
  • charliespuds
The question is, "do you feel lucky today?"

Protection, protection, protection... can't wait. Thanks!
  • Because my iPhone deserved the best!
  • Kosmo
I'm looking for a serious protection for the iPhone and the Inivisible Shield is on top of my list. Hope this will be my lucky post! :)
  • roberge
I would use it to protect my phone from my tech freak 2 year old. Ok it will not protect it from him dipping it in his milk but if you saw my current phone's state you would agree, not having a shield is not an option.
  • Oh yeah.....
    Forgot to say:
Good luck to everyone who's entered!
  • Oops, commented in the wrong section for the contest, lol.....
I would absolutely love to get an InviShield.
I've read your BLOGS off & on over the months & it's certainly piqued my curiousity!
Plus, was reading the latest entry above, asking myself 'How could you spray your phone liberally with Soap Solution? Won't this damage my phone?"
Then, it was like you read my mind....lol
Good to hear that I'd be 'good to go' if I did spray my phone with the solution.
This really sounds like a very comprehensive kit, not to mention that InviShield's lifetime guarantee is 'out-of-this-world'!!!
Plus, would really love to just be lucky enuf to win something, one of these days!
Either way, I still would like to thank you, iPhoneFan becuz not only do you 'share the wealth' (meaning that instead of keeping all the 'goodies' you receive for testing, for yourself) you most graciously share them ALL with the rest of your faithful readers, thru these give-aways!
U truly are a 'class act'!
    Thanx again,
    have an awesome week,
    Mystique :)
  • I am worthy of the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for the iPhone 3G because...

    1. I have 3 girls (4, 3 & 21 months) that all like to play with my iPhone
    2. My wife likes to take my iPhone to her work (she's a nurse) so she can have access to the Epocrates App
    3. I like to put my iPhone in my pocket
    4. I like to "wake up" with my iPhone and "go to bed" with my iPhone
    5. My wife used to hate when I was on my computer all the time...She hates it even more that I am on my iPhone all the time now
    6. I wipe down my iPhone like 300 times a day
    7. I have nightmares of putting my keys in the same pocket that my iPhone is in
    8. I went through an Samsung Handheld, HTC 6800 & Blackberry Pearl & approx $1000 worth of phone purchase to only find my iPhone 3g with another carrier
    9. With my iPhone 3G I feel content / satisfied and will not fall to the pressures of the pure awesomeness of future gadgets...until the next iPhone comes out that is
    10. I go to the iphoneincanada blog like as many times as I clean my iPhone!

Hope this is deserving of the Zagg InvisibleSHIELD.
  • Geoff
Already have a nice scratch on the back from my keys. Why I put my 3g in the same pocket as my keys I'll never know. I hate cases on the iPhone, ruins the great design, and I love the feel of the iphone in my hand without a case on it.
  • macdim
Had the Invisible Shield on my 1st gen and loved it. Can't wait to get mine for the 3G!
  • SunnyVan
I messed up my invisible shield. Is there retail store that does installation of invisible shield? This is really hard to get it right. I will have to order it again online. I wonder if there is any stores that sell invisible shield and install it too?
  • Nabeel
Because I need something to protect my new investment. Its gotta last for 3 freaking years! LOL
  • Well considering the fact that I cary my phone around everywhere I go inside of the box it came in I think an invisible shield would help. That or some sort of helium balloon I can afix to the iphone box and have it follow me around...I think that could be cool. The only issue is I doubt I could take that on a plane...or even drive with it very well...All in all I need the invisible shield to prevent myself from getting in a freak helium balloon/iphone car accident.
  • Aman
I just got the iphone formthe rogers store in edmonton and loving it but not the plans for rogers. OK this is why I should get the invisible sheild for the phone because 5 or so months ago i got the touch when opened vola srcatchs on the back nothing on the front then I strated notcing more srcaths on the back then a few weeks later my touch looks like a road on the chrome then i tried about 5 case's stiil no good luck the case's made more srcatchson the back then a months later there are sractchs on the front they look horrible and i hate so I don't want this to happen same thing to my sick iphone it going to horrible, like my touch so it would be nice to be worry-free about my iphone srcatchs. So if I recevice the shield I would reconsider reading your blog again for instrcution.
    Please enter me. Thank you
  • Jason
So i gave my 1st Gen iphone to my daughter. It would be great to have the invisibleSHIELD on it to protect it.By the way she is only 6. She uses it for the ipod and movie features.
  • A friend of mine has one for his iPod touch and loves it. Unfortunately, he doesn't yet have an iPhone (unlike myself who, armed with a list of 25 stores in Vancouver, got one on my first stop. No line-up. No heartbreak. It turned out that all of the downtown Vancouver store managers were meeting at this one location on Saturday morning to divvy up the stock of existing iPhones. Man, I lucked out. Got the sickest white 16 Gig baby and am loving it.) and I would love to let him know how well the shield works on a real iPhone.

    BTW Good article.
  • Rude van Steenes
Thanks for all the great advice and product reviews, I get the feed daily & it's all good! Reason for the shield; you've said it all brother and there's nothing else to add. The fact that you've had one on for over a year is a true testament to it's durability, etc. The lifetime guarantee is the dessert to an already stellar product!

my biggest question would be how this shield compares to the other skins/shields out there .. what justifies the higher price for IShield? btw: no questions asked if i can get one for free of course ... ;-)

It sure would be nice to win the invisible shield...seeing as even with the delay on the contest and shipping, it'll probably get here before my Roger's Iphone 3G order...if anyone knows how to complain to speed up the process, let me know! It's freaking crazy that they have total control - they don't give you tracking info, you can't find out online without calling, and there is no estimate on shipping dates...

I could use the shield because my iPhone desperately needs a case and if I win, I can brag to my friends that 'the' iPhonefan sent me an invisible shield =]
  • Check it out. Mentioned ya on my blog. http://superblogger-jinnai.blogspot.com/

    I want the invisibleSHIELD.
I take serious care of my iPhone. I've got a very basic case on it right now, but need something that will protect it no matter what and I figure "military strength" will suffice. People have asked to hold my phone or look at it... I hold it for them, no one touches this thing but me. I clean it 2-3 times daily to a mildly obsessive extent. I love the iPhone, not afraid to admit it and I need this shield.

Id like to have one as my phone is sitting in a magic glove from the dollar store and the closest invisibleSHIELD is in Toronto (2 hr drive) not that its not worth it... but if you can save a headache!

    Thank you!

I think I'm worthy of the Zagg invisibleshield because it is my duty to make sure that all iPhone 3G's out there are protected from dirt, scratches, the joker, evil, anything that could potentially endanger its life. The invisibleshield is so good that it will also protect the 3G from cancer.
