Hi, Is this a good deal?
This is the plan I was quoted from Rogers Retention Department.

$ 18 Corporate Business Plan (200 Wkly/Unltd Wkend and Unltd Evenings)
$ 5 text messaging for 2500 texts (unlimited incoming)
$20 for 1 GB Data Plan (normally 30.00 but they are taking $10 off for the duration of a new 3 year contract)
$5 unlimited evenings after 6pm and weekends
$6.95 System Access Fee

Total approx. $ 55.00 plus tax

They are offering me a Blackberry Bold if I wish but I received a gift for 200.00 towards an iphone. I plan to purchase the phone from the Apple store and apply that to the plan. I have checked with Rogers and they will honour that as well (this way I don't have to purchase the phone from a Rogers store)

Any idea if this is in fact a good deal????

Since i got my Iphone on bell, it has been spotty at best.
Even in Abbotsford BC on Hwy 1 and Sumas, i have no 3g and many time no service.
I call them and they tell me that they can't trouble shoot unless i am on a land line?? What is that all about?
how am i to go to a land line if i am broken down on the side of the road or whatever??
Good thing i had my buddy there with a Rogers iPhone so we trouble shoot mine, and be told that “I was in a dead zone, but they are working on this” is bell really that new to the Fraser valley?? I think not.

Don't be an absolute fool! Bell has no choice to give you discounts on iphones thats something apple is very strict on. I'm a bell rep and know the kind of restrictions and barriers we have to manage because of apple.

PISSED that Bell will not offer a long time customer… ME… any type of discount on the iPhone. PIIIIIIIISSED! May be time to consolidate with their rival, the just as well hated Rogers. *Sigh

I wish they'd drop the 36 month commitment already. I can't imagine being tied down to a piece of hardware that long.
