iPhone 5 (N42) Will Launch At Same Price & Storage Options As iPhone 4S

With only 5 days to go before the highly anticipated iPhone 5 launch event, 9to5Mac‘s anonymous sources have reported that Apple will unleash its next generation iPhone on September 12th at same prices as the iPhone 4S and will have the same storage and colour configurations as well.

The report also suggests that the new iPhone is the same device which was codenamed ‘N42’ and was discovered back in May by 9to5Mac. The sources also claim that in May, Apple was working on another device codenamed N41 with NFC capabilities but the feature didn’t make it into the shipping N42 device.

Here is the part codes matrix for the new iPhone launch from a source at a well-known U.S. retail chain: N42A-USA -$199, N42B-USA-$199, N42A-USA-$299, N42B-USA-$299, N42A-USA-$399, N42B-USA-$399.  A + B signify black and white.

We also understand that this new iPhone N42 will come in the same prices as the iPhone 4S. With this, we speculate that the configurations will remain at the iPhone 4S’s 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities.

Pre-orders of the new iPhone will begin soon after next week’s announcement, claims the source, and will not ship immediately in all countries. Will Canada by lucky enough to get the iPhone 5 at launch?
