Harman Kardon’s Iconic Soundsticks Go Wireless, JBL Launches New Bluetooth Speaker Lineup

Widely praised for their iconic design, Harman Kardon‘s Soundsticks speakers were originally introduced at the July 2000 Apple’s WWDC and were designed and manufactured by Harman in collaboration with Apple. Since then, the product has received a few aesthetic updates in its various iterations and now, the Harman Kardon engineers have upgraded that same work of art into a wireless incarnation, the SoundSticks Wireless.

The SoundSticks Wireless speakers ($229) feature a six-inch (160-mm) subwoofer, eight full-range drivers, 40 watts of amplification, touch controls for volume and muting, and a 1/8-inch (3.5-millimeter) audio connection for compatibility to various devices, in addition to fully integrated Bluetooth technology for wireless Airplay through all iPhone, iPod and iPad devices.
