I second that. What the hell? I upgraded to a 3G, and now I find out that I can't get a waterproof case for it? What kind of bs is that? Big financial mistake for Otterbox if you ask me.

I can't believe that with the new iPhone 3G expecting to sell 10 million units, that Otterbox isn't making an Armor case for it.

If you require waterproof and for the screen to be fully protected, then you can not expect to use it in any housing. In which case you could use a small otterbox, and just take it out to talk. If you want to get the maximum protection, while still being able to use the phone straight from the pocket; this is about the best solution. Although, I'll say now; I wish it had a hard piece of plastic that fit over the screen and would flip out of the way like an old star trek communicator. If you dont need waterproof, I suggest the defender series and keep the case in the belt clip holder, but remove the belt clip. That way you have full protection (minus waterproofness)

Here's the deal with the cases and screens and all. Yeah, this case is hardcore, about as much so as you can get with a phone cover that isn't in a bank vault. The thing with your screen, not to sound too sarcastic here, but if you are doing stuff with this phone where you need to worry about all of that, you probably aren't going to be talking on the phone in the first place so leave your little hip mounted lifeline at home for a little while

Try this with your case.. drop it such that the front screen impacts with somthing like a rock.
looks like anything hitting the screen will still smash it. which is the limitation of all cases that still alow screen use.
So unless someone wants to loose practicality(ie useing the touch screen while in case) no case will protect the screen from falling on a rock or somthing where point of impact is dead centre on the screen.
