I just picked up a "mobile power station" battery pack off eBay for about $25 all in. Has an led capacity tester on it and weighs in at 1000mah so I can get 3 of them for that price.

This case scratched my iPhone back. It also doesn't play well with skins like the Invisible Shield. On top of that it reduces cell phone signal.

The only good thing is the extra battery life.

I picked one of these cases up a short while ago and I've been happy enough with it. I only use it to extend the battery life on long bike rides so that RunKeeper (great iPhone app by the way) can track the whole ride - I don't use it on a regular basis.

I noticed the same thing with respect to the difficulty in getting the phone out of the case, but only the first couple of times - since then I've had no issues.

The other thing I noticed had to do with battery life. They specifically state that you will get the longest battery life if you leave the juice pack air off while the iPhone battery runs down, and then turn on the juice pack air when the iPhone battery is nearly dead. I actually found the opposite to be true - I get the longest battery life if I leave the juice pack air on right from the get go so that its battery is drained first before the iPhone's internal battery.
