I have a feeling this is not true. On the same day that the iPhone 4G was officially reveled Fido had an image (and still does) of an iPhone 4G that says “This changes everything.” Sounds like they will definitely stay involved with the iPhone.

I had the same thing happen to me, only I actually talked to a rep and renewed my plan on the phone, only to get the cancelled package on my next bill… I called up extremely irate and got my old plan back, without the SAF, and $45/mth/unlimited. All is fine now…

I dont believe it, i tried to buy an iphone today, i started casually chatting with the sales rep and then i asked for a 16gb iphone and he said “heres an inside tip, theyre telling us about a new iphone well be selling in june/july, itll have 32gb storage, a better camera and a faster processor, if you get one now you will have wasted your money” thank god for that sales rep guy.

It is true. I asked about the iPhone today and they informed me that “a lot of their customer’s don’t like the added costs of the iPhone.” Guess that the new company position. I joined with them back in the Microcell days too. Slowly seen them go downhill. They were the alternative brand, that gave you what you needed. Understandably in competitive markets, you need to restructure, but sad to seem them go this way.

Has this been confirmed yet? I can’t find any news on this outside of this website. I’m planning on getting an iPhone in the near future and am currently still favouring Fido as a provider. So, I’d be really interested in the newest ‘scoop’ here.
