Crazy Taxi For iPhone & iPad Released, Download Now

Share:

Earlier this week, Sega announced that its widely popular console game Crazy Taxi would launch on the iPhone and iPad sometime during the month of October. Looks like that day has come and the universal iPhone / iPad game is now available for download in the App Store.

For those not familiar with Crazy Taxi, you race through an open city in one of four cabs, picking up fares and driving them to their destinations in return for money. The thrilling part is the speed at which all this happens. Since the game is a universal binary, you get to enjoy a single purchase ($4.99) on both your iPhone and your iPad’s bigger display.

Here is the official iTunes description:

Hey hey, come on over and have some fun with Crrrrrazy Taxi! Barrel through traffic packed streets, hurdle off parking garages, and crazy combo your way to crazy money in a wild frantic race to scare up the most fares. In Crazy Taxi, time is money, and only the craziest cabbies come out victorious.

anyone try it out yet? 4.99 seems a little steep to me

A touch expensive for an iOS game, but I used to be addicted to this game and this genre in general (anyone remember The Simpsons Road Rage?), so I’m buying it.

  • I remember this game being an exercise in frustration on the Dreamcast – I can only imagine it being even more so on the smaller screen. 🙂
