I also bought a MacBook Pro as I needed a laptop and figured this way I could try to do some dev work for iPhone….If I would have an Android, I would have never considered buying a Mac, so this way they not only gained an iphone sale but also a other items and services….

And I am sure I am not the only one!

Im waiting for the day Apple will introduce the “Keeping updated” feature to “Help” Users keep up-to-date with update releases. Apple would Include an Auto Update within Syncing to Itunes that cannot be Disabled.
so you can use all the Custom Firmwares you want to Jailbreak, When it comes time to Sync your Music an stuff back up, Itunes will Detect somthing incorrect with the system files and automatically correct it as a “User Safety Feature against possible security threats” Thus Preventing Jailbreaking. If jailbroken, Cannot Sync, Thus limiting the features such as syncing music/video, apps, Backups…ect… in my mind that would be a brilliant move by apple.

Dont get me wrong, i support the Jail-breaking community, i even use it myself. just stating what i believe could be a serious, and smart move by apple.

P.S.. Lack of Jail breaking wouldnt cause to many people to change to another Phone. may a small handful, the people who say they would, probably would see things differently if actually faced with that situation. Even if they DID change. Apple wouldnt care. they arnt getting any money from them anyways from paid apps lol

If jailbraking will be no more, Apple will loose a lot of customers, I for one will choose to go to Android.

I swear, the old 1984 Apple ads had nothing to do with “thinking differently” but was actually a foreshadow of Apple's business practice. They are “Big Brother” described in George Orwell's book, “1984″. Apple is stupid for patching these exploits. They've made an “effort” to patch up exploits, so why not leave the jailbreakers alone? It represents 10% of owners (and growing). Personally, I never saw a reason to jailbreak my iPhone 3G but finally after having a 3GS for a while, I jailbroke it and could now NEVER go back. There are so many improvements and uses to the phone now that it's jailbroken. IF Jailbreaking was no more, I'd seriously consider an Andriod or Windows phone simply to make unlimited Skype calls, if nothing else. Although the iPhone is a remarkable device, I cringed the day I bought one because I've always loathed Apple — and Apple reminds me why on a daily basis.

The cat and mouse game will never end I think… It just may take some more time for the Dev's to Jailbreak the newer FW devices. Apple's iPhone sell great for user's that want to unlock/jailbreak.
