I think it's pretty smart. For one, we are the target market for the Pre. They want to steal some iPhone owners. And like you said, everyone in the iPhone community will be talking/blogging about it. Copying or not, it's a succesful campaign.

As much as people here crap on Rogers, one must admit that the quality of the service (mobile) is pretty darn good. I've had my iPhone from day one and have had zero problems. In fact, I did accidently drop a huge glob of cupcake icing into the ear hole and killed my first iPhone. I called Rogers customer service and told them it stopped working (sure I didn't say why, who would) and the sent me a brand new phone the next day. No questions, no charges, no problems!

There's no originality with anything anymore. One person will think of something great, and others, instead of trying to better it, they simply copy and paste it all. Frankly, Apple has the bull by the horns and everyone else is just trying to follow suit (but are failing miserably). It's just too bad that Rogers gives you such a bad taste in you mouth for having an iPhone, but my phone makes it worth it.

I mean the Palm pre does look like a great phone and I wouldn't mind trying it out, but all ads and marketing seem like they are copying each other now a days.
