Hey all!
Thanks for tuning in to another edition of X1Zero’s Corner.
Today’s post will be a special post because I am giving away not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR “Colors” cases from SwitchEasy. Moreover, I may or may not post for next Sunday, as I will be attending the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, but we’ll see how it goes.
“Colors” case by SwitchEasy
Over the last few days, I have been testing the “Colors” case from SwitchEasy and overall I do like it. The case is a silicon type case, so it covers up the entire iPhone 3G except for the screen, however in the package you do get a supplied screen film protector.
The “Colors” case covers the entire back, sides, top, and bottom of the phone leaving holes open for the camera, the headphone jack, the silent switch, the dock connector, and speaker/microphone. The home button on the case is also padded in a soft plastic-type material so that works well for keeping dust and grime out of the home button area. After the case is on the iPhone 3G, it is a snug fit that feels good in the hand. All the icons and screen are open and easily accessible, which includes the iPhone 3G sensors as well, so you will not have any trouble with those.
After using the case, almost everything about it works pretty well. The only one thing that bothers me is the colour scheme for these cases; everything is really bright and colourful. I am not saying there is anything wrong with colourful cases, but I like my cases to have as little multi-colour schemes as possible. For example, this particular case is labelled as the colour “Blue”. The case itself is in fact Blue however the home screen button is a lighter shade of blue and so you have a multi coloured case. As you can see with the pictures, the colours get more extravagant. Other than that, which is more of a personal thing, the case is good.
Included with the package, among the screen protector, is a polishing cloth and case plugs for the headphone jack and dock connector. I really like that SwitchEasy added these plugs because with most cases, those are the exposed holes with the iPhone 3G. With the plugs, you can further prevent additional dust or sand or whatever from crawling into your iPhone. Overall, I give the case a 8/10.
The “Colors” case and the various colour schemes can be purchased from the SwitchEasy online store for $14.99, however I am giving away the four pictured above TODAY! Read below to find out how to win!
“Colors” case give-away
As mentioned above, I will be giving FOUR of the “Colors” cases away. So, how do you win you ask? It’s easy!
Send your best, funniest and most interesting poses (does not necessarily have to be you in the picture…just pose your iPhone 3G somewhere epic) of your iPhone 3G with a caption to x1zero.corner[at]gmail.com. In the subject field put: “X1Zero’s Corner Colors Contest”.
I will pick the best four and post them here for all to see! (pending the winner’s approval)
The terms:
1.) Keep it clean. ‘PG’ pictures only. Everything else will be tossed.
2.) Keep the size UNDER 4MB.
3.) Picture must have a caption
4.) Picture must have the iPhone 3G device and the iPhoneInCanada.ca or X1Zero’s Corner brand image (for example, writing “X1Zero’s Corner For The Win” on a piece of paper qualifies as Brand Image…Keep it simple!).
5.) Email MUST include a picture with the above terms, your name/forum handle, and an ordered preference of which case you want. (Example, 1.) Blue, 2.) Orange, etc)
The contest will run until Friday August 29 at 12:01am. Any submissions after that date/time will not be accepted. Now get with the picture taking!!!!
Also, remember to tune in next week to X1Zero’s Corner because if I can get a post up, I will have another exclusive give-away with a whole new set of cases from our friends over at SwitchEasy!
Enjoy!

anyone have a link to a good picture of the iphoneincanada or x1zeros corner brand image??? please post.. thanks.
Only if requested.
I will email the winners with further info after the contest is over and we will decide then.
Also, the images of the poses do not necessarily have to be you in the picture. Posing your iPhone 3G somewhere cool is more of what I was looking for!
@Thomas,
Does not necessarily have to be an official imagine. Writing “iPhoneInCanada.ca” on some paper will work too! Or, you can always use this:

Keep it simple people!!!!!
When people win, do they really get a prize? I ask cause its been 2 weeks since i “won” a phantomskinz from “Add X1Zero’s Corner to Your Home Screen” and have yet to receive anything. lol please dont get annoyed and not send me anything cause of my rant–im just very impatient. For those who received their prize from any other contest here, how long did you wait?
@Naldo… if you win in any contest (not here) you usually have to wait 6-10wks for your prize! Here it is a shorter wait, but I assure you, if you won you will get it… eventually lol *wink*@ iphonefan haha
Remember that this is just two people hosting their own contests, they have to process the info and mail the prizes out themselves. They don’t have a bunch of people working for them. With all the contests going on here the wait is expected. Congrats on winning! Your prize will be worth the wait!!
Thank you Naldo
and thank you Manduh
All the winners will receive an empty envelope with a Post-It Note inside that says, “Congrats, you won _____ !” and nothing else. Yours was at the top of our mailing list!
We run the website as something we do on the side so we don’t put priority into mailing out freebies. They will get sent, and every single one has been sent so far. If you’re impatient, next time just PayPal us some extra cash so we can upgrade you to priority shipping instead of snail mail!
Thank you for your support Manduh, you received your prize from me, didn’t you (although it took a while).
thank you for replying guys and thank you iPhoneincanada for your much appretiated services : )
You’re welcome. Thanks for visiting.
can you speak to how well the case allows you slide the phone in and out of a pocket- since it’s silicone, I’m worried it will be too grippy- same with the dust/lint/dirt attraction- how is it in that regard as well? Thanks for the review!
yes it’s pretty “grippy” as it is silicone.

got my case, rather quick actually… although the case is DEFINATELY bright pink and not red as the review/pictures show… So if you are ordering this case and don’t want a girly case, don’t order the “red” one.
THanks again for this, I don’t usually comment but I want to show some real appretiation for your posts.
