so for people with iphones came in 3.1 firmware, do we just have to wait for new jailbreak software?

Hi, i am in the British Army and posted to Alberta for 2 years. Whats my best option to get me and my wife iPhones, most have 3year contract which is too long, so i would prob buy outright and use PAYG maybe. Any advice would be welcome.

I finally was able to jailbreak & unlock my iphone but now I am unable to use my Wi-Fi, is there a process that I should be doing or some sort of technic to make it work?

Did you restore to 3.1.2 and try the updated 3.1.2 tutorial?

How do I go about jailbreaking & unlocking my iphone if it's already upgraded to firmware 3.1.2 all I can find is instructions for unlocking 3G iphones before their upgraded to 3.1.2 is there anyway to jailbreak & unlock an ungraded iphone?

Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it. I made the mistake of upgrading with a fido sim card in my unlocked phone and now it's a locked fido iphone. I purchased an unlocked phone thinking I could buy a Telus sim card and be good to go, ha! this was back in May and Telus just came online with the iphone on Nov. 5th. anyway the person I bought the iphone from via ebay thought he was doing me a favor by sending me a free Fido sim card and with me wanting to learn how to use it thought I'd give it a try with the fido card and here I am stuck! Nothing I do seems to work, when I try to revert back to firmware 3.0 a pop-up window comes on telling me that there is some unknown error and to get a hold of Apple. When I try with the new updated firmware 3.1.2 the cydia app won't come on my screen so I can't unlock the iphone??? Any idea's thanks
